About Greg
Greg Nyman is the President of and Lead Consultant for MiCa. Prior to this, he was responsible for several business units within the Thermo Fisher Scientific group of companies.
As a Director and General Manager with full operational accountability, Greg was responsible for a company producing and selling laboratory diagnostic products. He has held senior positions in sales leadership, marketing and business development in Canada, the USA, UK and Latin America. He understands selling consumables and capital equipment directly and via complex distribution channels. As part of a global management team Greg led or participated in strategic planning exercises, business development initiatives, facility expansion projects, productivity improvement plans, mergers, acquisitions and integration projects. He has experience in cross-functional leadership, finance, KPI development, negotiation and project management.
Greg continues to maintain relationships with a comprehensive network of industry experts, consultants, customers, suppliers and distributors in the USA, Canada and around the world. His MiCa projects are as varied as advising the Canadian Government on a large Arctic laboratory initiative, managing website and app projects for several wine industry clients and helping a European medical diagnostics company establish their US operation.
Greg enjoys food and wine, travel, carpentry and is an avid fisherman. He is a certified Sommelier, leads wine tasting classes at Algonquin College and hosts tutored wine tastings/sales events for private clients.
